Analysis of Genomic Regions Defined by Flanking Microsatellite Markers

In disease gene mapping, one often has a few candidate regions defined by microsatellite markers, and wants a brief overview of the genomic features with these regions. Ensembl provides rich information for genome analysis, and it also supports external programming to do analysis in batch mode. This is a program to generate a report of genomic regions defined by flanking microsatellite markers based on the Ensembl database. The report is in Microsoft Excel format. It works very well with any web browser under Microsoft Windows, but might have problem in other systems, like MacOS or Unix/Linux.

Regions defined by microsatellite markers. Regions defined by candidate gene.
Region 1: D13S283-D13S221
Region 2: D13S1244-D13S1242
Region 1: RB1
Region 2: TP53

Note:Please do not submit more than 40 regions at once! The program ignores region that defined by markers unknown to Ensembl, as well as marker pair on two different chromosomes.
